MOM JEANS AND DOG SWEATERS

Autumn OOTD

I've never been a fan of autumn wear because I hated wearing itchy jumpers and wrapping up, looking all frumpy and lumpy. But this year, maybe I'm maturing as I've found myself really loving being warm but sacrificing style for warmth? Never!

For the first time, I've been loving the jeans and jumper as a staple autumnal look. I've also never been a fan of mom jeans either because I didn't think I was cool enough to pull them off. I mean, I'm not saying I AM cool enough, I'm saying I wanna wear them... so I did!

I matched my ripped mom jeans with this cute doggy jumper my own 'mom' found at TKMaxx. She's been absolutely obsessed with TKMaxx for the past few months, I love it! Although this jumper may be cute, it is a tad itchy so I put a white shirt underneath and it fixed the itch as well as added a nice layer that you can't say no to in this weather.

I wore my usual Michael Kors bag (surprise, surprise) and my basic bitch white Adidas Stan Smiths. They're super comfy and I wear them all the time!

Colour Pop Lippie Stix HAUL

LIPS LIPS LIPS! 

I have had my eye on Lippie Stix from Colourpop for ages! But I held back on buying them due to not fully trusting third party retailers to provide authentic products and also because I've always been skeptical on buying things from outside the EU because I didn't want the nasty surprise of a high handling fee for customs.

However, I bit the bullet and had a horrific shopoholic binge on the official colourpop website. I bought 6 full size colours and I've been swatching and testing them out on my weirdly toned asian skin tone. Each lip product retails at $5, which is less than £4 (my type of pricepoint!) but I have seen some third party retailers sell them for £7 if you want to avoid the £20 customs fee.

DOGGY DAY!

We all went for a picnic at Hardwick park and we all brought our doggies! Hardwick park is a very dog friendly place and you'll see a LOT of pups roaming around the place... MY HEAVEN!

I met my cousins' chowskis called Gus and Tyler. They are the cutest fluffballs ever! Bonnie was really scared of them though bless her and they just wanted to play *sad face*

Our picnic was the most unconventional picnic ever, we went to the deli section of the supermarket, bought cooked whole chickens and shared them out between the fam.

L'oreal Lash Paradise Review

My New Favourite Mascara?

FINALLY! I got my greedy hands on L'oreal Lash Paradise! I spent weeks of searching in my local (and very small) boots and supermarkets for this mascara and it was no where to be seen!

I found this in a boots in Newcastle, tucked away on the top of the usual L'oreal display stand. There was only 3 left so I assume I was late to the party (As per usual) and they had all been bought. This came with a super duper cute eye mask as well all for the slightly lower price of £9.99! This lower price is an introductory offer as it's 'hot from the US'. It changed to about £12 at the end of August. (I bought this in early August)

Hello!... Again... 

What I've Been Doing

I have been super naughty and I fell of the blogger wagon again :(

I had so many posts lined up but I had a very unfortunate first world accident with my laptop, super sad! My cat was sniffing around my tea on the table next to my laptop, the dog started barking and startled him, knocking over the gigantic mug of tea all over my laptop!

So I blame the cat for my MIA blogging situation.

BUT I am back and I was really struggling on how to get back into blogging. I thought the best way was to chit chat and update you on what's been going on since my laptop mishap.

This summer, I came back home from University in Lincoln and realised that I wasn't on the right course. I've sadly fallen out of love with the contemporary style of dance and I want to start my pathway of dancing with the Royal Academy of Dance and be a full time ballerina!

Hella stressful, especially when it's so late in the year. After months of pondering and many many meltdowns, I decided to leave university and put that side of my life on hold for now while I attempt to pursue the next chapter of my life.

I'm still going to be dancing and training but I'm taking this year out to work on finding my love for ballet again and work towards a performing career. To be honest, I just want to dance and make some sort of living.

I feel super scared and anxious about what the next steps of my life are.. I feel like I'm having a mid life crisis! Who knows what might happen, but I hope that I stick to blogging now that I can and I would love for you to come along this really weird journey with me!

I'm a Ballerina!

A Workshop Inspired By Ballerina (Film)

Before I came back to University, I helped my Dance School with a Children's workshop. This was organised by the Royal Academy of Dance in collaboration of the film release, Ballerina. At the workshop, I help to teach 3 classes which varied in age from ages 4-7 and 8-13.

I must admit although ballet has always been my forte, I've been convincing myself that I'm not a ballerina anymore as I've been off the barre for 12 weeks... I study contemporary dance at University and sadly, I haven't had the opportunity to continue with ballet.

... But after dancing for 5 hours in this workshop which was inspired by the film, Ballerina, I feel like I've really gotten stronger as a dancer, not just physically but mentally as well. Ballet will always be my passion, discipline, and motivation and I can't tell you how grateful I am for that.

I surprised myself at the working, to be honest, as my teaching skills have even excelled after taking a break, so I'm super proud of that! I've still got it!

 What I've Been Doing: The Start of 2017

January has always been a love/hate type of month. I love that it's the start of a new year but I hate how it drags on and how cold it is!

Strangely, this is the first January I've had that is almost completely free as I don't start my second semester until the end of the month and all my friends are back at university so I've had a very lonely couple of weeks but I am LOVING the relaxing stress free me time, even if it is just hanging out with my pets and watching tv all day! No shame!

This festive break has been super exciting for me as it's my niece's first christmas! Everyone, meet Edith! She was born 3 days after my birthday in April and she's already decided that I'm her favourite aunt, no matter what my sisters say! Secretly, I've always been really down about missing her grow up while I'm at university and I hardly see her while I'm away, so spending time with Edie has been something really important to me. Thank goodness for technology, I love getting photos of her sent to me while I'm in Lincoln!
